Charlotte, NC-based alternative rock band 6 Story Pyramid is back with their new single “Saboteur,” released ahead of their long-awaited album. And yes, their return wasn’t quiet.
With what they describe as a “typhoonic” sound, this track shows that not only their sound, but also their spirit, has changed. With destructive guitar riffs, aggressive yet calculated drums, and heartfelt vocals, “Saboteur” shakes the listener and then leaves them alone for a while. Because some songs aren’t just heard—they’re felt.

The lyrics focus on invisible sabotage in relationships, passive-aggressive destruction, and most of all, self-sabotage.

These lines blend anger toward another with disappointment directed inward. And the musical language chosen to express this emotional chaos is harsh, messy, and deeply personal.
The slow dance scene in the music video blooms like a flower in the middle of this intensity. In the words of vocalist Vincent Alessi:
— “The dance scene begins as the tempo slows down in the middle of the song. It’s like a moment caught in the midst of chaos… I think that’s a beautiful thing.”
The Band’s Most Personal Era Yet
“Saboteur” is the band’s third single. The previously released tracks “Lying to Myself” and “Vulturous” reflected different moments of the same universe.
These songs show that 6 Story Pyramid is expanding not only their sound but also their emotional landscape. Because this band is not just about being loud—they care about storytelling too. And now it’s time for the next track: “Polaroid Eyes,” out on May 16.
The full album will arrive in Fall 2025.

Who Is 6 Story Pyramid?
The band was formed in 2021 by four friends who met at Rock University (Concord, NC): Vincent Alessi (vocals/guitar), Ayden Augustine (guitar), Massimo Buontempo (bass), and Jakob Ferrell (drums).
They released their first single in 2023. Since then, they’ve been searching—not lost, but on a noisy path to self-discovery. They’re inspired by bands like Queens of the Stone Age, Highly Suspect, and Royal Blood—but they tell their own struggles in their own language.
Saboteur isn’t just a song—it’s a tremor.
And where 6 Story Pyramid is strongest is in the silence that follows that tremor.
